Crafty lil ol meee... :)

So I have been wanting to get into being crafty... I've been following some "Crafty" blogs, and have been inspired! :) So for Christmas I asked anyone who was going to get me anything to get me some tools, just simple things to get me started... I have a long ways to go before I turn into an AMAZING Ana White... But I think maybe one day I will be as good, or even close to as good as she is.. She is my hero, lol my crafty hero! I love grabbing onto others inspiration! Sooo I finally did SOMETHING... Nothing too big, but I really liked how it turned out. My sister Kimberly "Seriously Daisys" Blog, inspired me on this one... I re-did my boys "Time Out" Chair.

My mom inlaw said she loves it so much she is going to try to find me the bench. I am actually loving how it turned out!... And I learned a few things to better future improvement projects I have lined up!

Izaiah's big boy haircut

Before today.... Izaiah would have red watery eyes... Always
smackin his hair out from being in his sweet lil eyes!... Before today, he still had all that sweet silky blond baby hair... Before today.... his dirty looks were hidden from me behind all that beautiful hair!... LOL. Here is his Before, even before it got about an inch longer!

I love his long skater hair!!... I actually went into the salon and told the lady... "I LOVE his long hair, I just want you to TRIM it please!!... it is in his eyes all day and... well it is just about THAT time!" So she started cutting away, just as I was about to say WOAH! Thats good!! She sniped that last lil bit!... there was NO going back... I was so sad... but, politely told her she did great! I went home completely unhappy with his hair cut!! It was choppy and frankly it looked like I could have done a better job! WAHHHH!!! So when we woke up this morning I decided.... now is the best time to just try out a short hair cut!!... why not go for the foe-hock!? So I took him back blamed not liking the haircut on my lovely blame taking hubby... lol, and showed her an uploaded photo of EXACTLY what we wanted!!!... This time it was done RIGHT!!! yay!!!!! He looks SO adorable, and so BIG BOY!! I actually LOVE IT! I couldn't stop stairing at the pictures I took on my iphone. lol... So there!! Now he is a little boy witha big boy hair cut... no more hair for Zeke to pull anymore!... lol. The only thing I am going to REALLY miss, I cought myself attempting to run my hands through his hair a few times already. I LOVED to play with his hair!!! Now I guess I can just have fun doing it!! Time to buy a comb and some gel!!!

THE AFTER!!!

iMaGiNaTiOn

So I just got off the phone with my little sister, and the main part of our conversation was about kids these days!... How there is no imagination anymore. Everything seems to be electronic now, the cool new things are all about the latest and greatest computer, video game, ipod, cell phone... the list will go on and on... Whatever happened to sticks being guns, or having to jump from a tree stump to a big rock, because the ground outside is lava!? ... Our children are so lost in materialistic things now! I want my boys to find pieces of the earth outside that they can play with for hours, as simple as a feather, a rock, or DIRT... I want to be the one to teach them how to read, not an electronic book... I want to spend every precious moment with them, instead of memories of them in front of the TV or the video game. I love the idea of us having dinner at the table as a family, hearing about their day... or us having a family night once a week, either at home, or going out doing something FUN as a family... I think I am going to start with CRAFT DAY... Once a week, turning off the TV, just the boys and I. Playing in playdough or glitter, or getting dirty in the back yard... Making messes and having fun doing it! Those are memories I want, and want them to have!!

My BOYS

Looking back in my iphoto yesterday made me realize how FAST time is flying by! I can't believe it has already been TWO YEARS! It seems like I just brought Izaiah home from the hospital!
Izaiah Daniel Jensen (2 months)
Ezekiel Daniel Jensen (1 Day)

Reality hits when I look down and see Ezekiel at my feet, staring at me with those big brown eyes! ... Then I think WOW, he is just about to turn ONE! Where did the time go?!
Izaiah (2 yrs)
                                                           Ezekiel (10 mos)

Never did I think I would have two sweet baby boys! I am someones everything, and that is an amazing feeling.
